What began with martial arts instruction grew into a lifelong commitment to developing the whole person—physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially—and helping children and families become stronger together.

A Legacy Built Through Service.
For more than 40 years, Lanre Lawanson has dedicated his life to Taekwondo, youth development, leadership, and service. Through Attack Taekwondo and its continued legacy within Growth Mindset Martial Arts, he has built more than a martial arts school—he has created a community where children and families develop discipline, confidence, resilience, and leadership.
His martial arts journey has taken him around the world. He has trained in Korea and competed internationally in Osaka, Japan, at the World Taekwondo Festival, as well as in Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay.
A teacher’s legacy lives through the student.
Throughout his career, Lanre has taught and mentored champions, community leaders, law-enforcement officers, entrepreneurs, and martial artists who have gone on to open successful schools of their own. His influence extends across generations and international borders.

Lanre believes a teacher’s success is measured not only by trophies, titles, or victories, but by the character and accomplishments of the students entrusted to that teacher’s care.
Through positive coaching and quality instruction, students develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially while learning to challenge limiting beliefs, embrace growth, and persevere through challenges.

Beyond the dojang, Lanre is a proud husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love for family continues to shape the welcoming, family-centered culture that began with Attack Taekwondo and continues today through Growth Mindset Martial Arts—one where every person is valued, accomplishments are celebrated, and students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
The commitment remains clear: develop confident individuals, strengthen families, create leaders, and positively impact the world—one student at a time.
